When People Come

Posted on May 26, 2025 by David Devaney
When People Come
Treasures Everywhere

When people come to City Park,
Great treasures they will find.
Of every known variety,
Of every sort and kind.

There's forests filled with ancient oaks,
Great palm trees by the lake.
Museums, where great intellects,
Imaginations make.

There's gardens too, botanical
And those with sculptures filled.
Amusement parks and choo choo trains,
Where new dreams are instilled.

Friendly people everywhere,
Who share the joy they've found.
The old, the young and in between,
With smiles, to, astound.

It's here you'll find serenity,
Alive from break of day.
Effervescing through the trees
And always on display.
