A Friend in Heaven
The Very Best
I have a friend in Heaven,
Who’s with me every day.
No matter when I call to him,
He’s always on display.
My source of endless energy,
Of joy and happiness.
And every moment neath the sun,
He does my heart caress.
He shares with me a universe,
Most beautiful and rare.
Does challenge me through wisdom,
To, of this world, take care.
He listens when I call to him,
Responding is his choice.
Acknowledges my every thought,
Does always hear my voice.
And when I’m lonely and forlorn,
He wipes away my tears.
Does comfort me with kindness,
Then ends my many fears.
It’s next, this friend remarkable,
Brings courage, love and strength.
So I may all my dreams pursue,
Through years of unknown length.
Understanding my connection to God!
