Its End

Posted on February 1, 2025 by David Devaney

On Esplanade, near Carollton,
Where the Street Car finds its end.
The wonderment of New Orleans,
With beauty, starts to blend.

The springtime trees all blossoming,
Reveal sweet nature's charm.
With “Serenity” life's watchword.
The beauty, fears disarm.

This is a place of fragrances,
Of friends, diversified.
Where every lover’s dreams come true.
As secrets they confide

With skies each day. forever blue,
And winds soft whispering.
This realm with healing energy
Sweet harmony does bring.

And from the city all about,
The cacophony of sounds,
Are muted by the ecstasy,
That all about resounds.

For here in NOLA’s City Park,
Where swanboats course its sea.
The treasures of this universe,
Are shared with you and me.

City Park in New Orleans
Where Serenity is Thriving!
