City Park in New Orleans
There’s an elegance to beauty,
When dawn first breaks the day.
With clouds that seem most mystical,
Like etchings on display.
They’re drawn each day by angels,
Great mountains in the sky.
At Mother Nature’s beckoning,
Upon strong winds they fly.
Then when the sun plays peek a boo,
There’s, found, a sense of worth.
This beauty, incomparable.
Reveals the land’s rebirth.
Here too there is a majesty,
A, loveliness, a grace.
That throughout mankind’s history,
No one can e’re, replace.
And this was all revealed this day,
Midst pure Serenity.
Upon a bench in City Park,
For all the world to see.
Patiently Aware
